Burcu Kara, who has a 5-year-old son from her marriage to director Fırat Parlak, is preparing to become a mother for the second time. Answering the questions of Hakan Gence from Hürriyet Newspaper, Burcu Kara made striking statements about her private life and career.
Burcu Kara, who has been on the sets for 18 years, stated that there is a huge difference between the period when she started acting and the current period, and said, “We are now in a period where almost every young person can become famous in a day without putting effort and thinking. I am learning that people I have never met are famous.”
Burcu Kara said, “A person with 2 million followers suddenly becomes an actor. It is an industry that consumes very fast and forgets a lot. Television was not enriched by identical works or ‘the audience wants it’. Thanks to God, digital channels have arrived, so we can watch better quality productions. It is pleasing to see more jobs, more employees, more options.”
Stating that the biggest obstacle in her career is her upbringing, fears and shyness, Burcu Kara said, “Am I happy right now, am I satisfied with my life? A lot! Then I’m glad I did everything or I didn’t. I grew up in a very small place, I didn’t want to upset my family. So I restricted myself a lot, I deprived myself of a lot. But right now, I’m comfortable,” he said.
